To facilitate a new approach to bringing ACI services to the concrete construction industry, the American Concrete Institute has opened Regional Resource Centers conveniently located across the United States. ACI Resource Centers provide individuals and concrete construction industry organizations with quick and easy access to expanded personal and organizational growth opportunities. Whether it's new hire onboarding, employee development, or customized member or client training, ACI Resource Centers provide quality programs for the trades, engineers, contractors, technicians and inspectors, designers, and others seeking to advance their concrete knowledge. Currently serving the Southern California, Chicago Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions, ACI Resource Centers are located near major interstates and airports and offer customized hands-on training, educational seminars and workshops, and scheduled and on-demand ACI certification programs. The bigger benefit of having the ACI Resource Center here in the Midwest is that I can give my clients the confidence that we are providing properly trained personnel according to the applicable standards, ASTM, ACI, and in that sense it brings my clients a better sense of confidence in the work being done. Training is a never-ending development. Sometimes the standard is not necessarily the same as the practice, and having that commitment to development, to keep always advancing, is what we need as an industry. In addition to these services, ACI Resource Centers are available as venues for national, regional, and local meetings and social events. We are very excited about the fact that the Resource Center is offering on-demand certification and training. Having this resource in our own backyard now is very beneficial to us all. Since the pandemic, we've all had to kind of be flexible and come up with different ways of doing the certifications, doing the training. It adds a networking opportunity, so I think overall those are really great things. Education programs on popular industry topics such as design, fundamentals, repair, slabs, and more are also available, with programs led by expert instructors with decades of experience. As regional demand for access to ACI offerings continues to grow, the Institute now has static locations in popular regions across the U.S. to help meet the increasing demand for ACI knowledge. I've been doing this 16 years now. I've been through ACI classes quite a bit, and I've noticed that the industry is growing. There is a lot more people wanting to get their foot in the door. Having the Resource Center here in Southern California is a great help to our local industry. Our local chapter is only able to offer a handful of certifications with our volunteer staff, and having the Resource Center here opens up the whole range of certifications that ACI offers and it enables the local technicians to achieve those certifications.
